Quantum P2000/P3000/P6000 libraries are no longer available for ordering. Installed systems may be upgraded using the items listed below. For field add-ons and upgrades for Quantum P6000 libraries (two Quantum P3000 libraries linked with Pass-Through Mechanism), use items below that show compatibility with Quantum P3000. Quantum P2000/P3000/P6000 system capacity/performance can be expanded by attaching Quantum P4000/P7000 libraries using the P2/P3U-PTM Pass-Through Mechanism.

Quantum P2000/P3000 Field Upgrade Library Options

Quantum P2000 tape drive add-ons are designated as right-side (Column 1, facing front) tape drives. P3000 tape drives add-ons are designated as left-side (Column 0, facing front; see the section ""Quantum P3000 Field Upgrade Library Options"") or right-side (Column 1, facing front) tape drives. P2000/P3000 add-on tape drives include tray boards. Some libraries, depending on configuration, may already have a tray board in an unoccupied tape drive slot. In that case, the tray board that is shipped with the tape drive will not be used and will be returned by Customer Service at installation time."

For libraries being upgraded to SDLT 220 or LTO GbE, MC100 must be at or upgraded to v3.2.2 or later and NDMP software must be at or upgraded to v2.11 or later.
