For customers with immediate storage needs beyond what a single PX502 can offer, Quantum’s highly reliable PX506 tape library offers over 70 native terabytes of native capacity in a single 10U frame. The PX506 bridges the gap between workgroup and enterprise storage needs. The PX506 breaks new ground with exceptional pricing, capacity, performance, features and the investment protection of Quantum’s FlexLink™ scalable architecture.

The PX506 offers enterprise-class reliability, availability and serviceability in an easy-to-use library. Over two million MSBF and optional redundant components assure you the reliability you need. The PX506 incorporates sophisticated serviceability and availability features usually only found in enterprise-class libraries. The PX506 also offers integrated Advanced Remote Management and the flexibility to mix media and drive technology.

The innovative PX500 Series has recently won several prestigious awards, including taking the bronze in the SearchStorage.com and Storage magazine Backup Hardware category of the 2005 Products of the Year. Encryption Solutions

Quantum has partnered with Decru, a NetApp company and leader in storage security, to collaborate on key management and encryption technology to further enhance Quantum’s security offerings. Quantum currently offers our tape library solutions with Decru DataFort FC-Series and S-Series appliances, including DataFort FC1020, the industry’s first 10-port tape encryption appliance.

The PX506 comes with a one-year next business day standard warranty. The warranty can be extended for long-term security and peace of mind at an affordable price. Additional 5x9x4 and 7x24x4 service contract upgrade response levels are also available. Professional Installation and Integration services can be purchased through Quantum to ensure maximum uptime.

The PX506 is supported by StorageCare Guardian, Quantum's new proactive remote monitoring solution. Leveraging the intelligence inside the PX506, Guardian enables Quantum to proactively monitor the health of the library over the Internet and use intelligent diagnostics data to remotely service the equipment when something is wrong.
